    Hi

    01 Prepare PM plan

    02 % PM plan compliance

    03. Identify the Repeated equipment

-Basis of Availability /Maximum no of failure

-Maximum cost expense due manpower per year by equipment

          -

    04. Do RCA  above create list 04 to 05  per years

05 Create the action list from RCA and implement it

    06. Monitor the CM and PM ratio.

For detail plan and strategy i can give services too

    Hi Jose,

Since you say that you have many work stops for corrective maintenance and need to move to more preventive maintenance I am going to assume you are in quite a reactive maintenance environment. To esc ape from that vicious cycle of reactive maintenance there are 3 things you need to get in place:

    (1) effective planning & scheduling so you can improve productivity and create a stable working environment

    (2) create an effective and efficient PM program

    (3) get a Root Cause Analysis (and eventually a Defect Elimination) process in place.

Often that sequence is the best way to tackle it, but depending on your circumstances you may need to start with (3)

Send me a DM and I can share an eBook that explains in more detail why you need to focus on those 3 practices, and how.

    Kind Regards,

    Erik

    Hi Jose,

It sounds like you do not have proactive maintenance in place. I suggest you tackle your problem as follows.

    1. Conduct an asset criticality analysis on your assets.
    2. Analyse your downtime (corrective maintenance) to identify which assets are giving you the most problems.
    3. Since you have the failure modes of your assets, I suggest you conduct a Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) to identify predictive and preventative maintenance plans for your assets.
    4. The action from 3 above will give a basis for a PM program.
    5. As advised by others, you then need to track compliance to your PM program.
    6. With time introduce RCA's or defect elimination in your process to maintain the gains you have made.

To make this successful I also suggest you acquire a CMMS/EAM system to manage your assets.

Hope this helps and all the best.

    Regards,

    Veiko

    Jose-

You will need to have access to extensive bearing database to identify duplication in inventory to reduce costs. Also will need access to bearing vibration frequency data for building out routes. The Bearing Expert is the right tool to assist you as you develop your comprehensive plan and aggregate your data. Give it a try. https://sourceindex.com/trial/
