The CRL Domain Mastery Belt Program is a rigorous, internationally recognized credential. It is awarded to professionals who have significantly improved reliability in their organizations by developing a project based on one of the five Domains of the Uptime® Elements™ Framework.

Mastery Belt Details

The CRL Domain Mastery Belt Program is a recognition awarded by the Association of Asset Management Professionals to CRL professionals who have successfully developed and implemented an innovation or improvement project within their organization, guided by one of the Domains of the Uptime® Elements™ Framework. This distinction is part of the continuous improvement that characterizes Reliability.

Steps to earn a Domain Mastery Belt

  1. Meet the Prerequisites: Ensure you hold a Certified Reliability Leader® (CRL) status in good standing. Discover the process for recertification if needed.
  2. Align Your Project: Map your project to a specific domain within the Uptime® Elements™ Framework.
  3. Application Submission: Compile all necessary documents and acquire original signatures from your Executive Sponsor and Financial Reviewer. Note that digital signatures are not accepted.
  4. Project Timing: Only projects initiated after obtaining your CRL Certification are eligible.

  5. Subject Matter Expert Review: An expert will evaluate your application and project to ensure all criteria are satisfied. Your submission must demonstrate a significant organizational impact and clearly show your active leadership in the project’s success.

  6. External projects: A CRL may develop a Belt Project for an organization where they are not employed, provided there is a professional relationship with that organization.
  7. Achieve a Black Belt: Complete the mastery belt programs for all five Domains of the Uptime® Elements™ and earn a CRL Black Belt.Learn more about the black belt here.
