The summit, organized by the Association of Asset Management Professionals (AMP), will take place on September 16, 2025, starting at 11:00 a.m. EDT, and will bring together leading asset management professionals from across the continent to discuss key business issues.
Terrence O’Hanlon, Executive President of AMP, and Maura Abad, WIRAM Global Director, will moderate this event, a global gathering to advance asset management in different territories and support professionals in the field.
The AMP Chapters will play a leading role in this Summit, with topics that are in tune with the needs of thousands of organizations that have found asset management to be an integral key to success, sustainability, operational excellence, and security.

This Summit synthesizes the global effort of the Association of Asset Management Professionals to continue expanding the frontiers of asset management, reliability, and excellence in industrial maintenance. Divided into chapters, professionals from around the world participate in these dynamic knowledge-building and experience-sharing sessions, developing their skills, comparing information, and establishing new bridges of communication, all of which advance and deepen this discipline, with an enriching process of transformation for participants.
Asset Management Chapters Global Summit 2025 topics:
1. AMP Texas Chapter: “Governing Data for Reliability: Enabling Better Decision Making in Asset Intensive Industries,” by Paul Shoesmith, Subject Matter Expert, Inventory Management at John Crane.
Paul Shoesmith will discuss the impact of data quality on the quality of maintenance and reliability decisions and present practical strategies for implementing data governance in asset-intensive environments. Common challenges related to data, governance frameworks, and a culture of accountability and transparency will be among the other topics discussed in this interesting presentation.
2. AMP Colombia Chapter: “Case of success with precession maintenance, in installation of big equipment,” by Luis Luna, Engineering Manager at Goodyear and Co-Leader of this chapter.
Luis Luna is a maintenance specialist and will share his experience in the installation and maintenance of large equipment, presenting strategies and success stories to illustrate the progress made in this area in the region.
3. AMP Washington Chapter: “Bridging the Maintenance and Engineering asset lifecycle – best practices including leadership, process and data integration,” by Scott Smith, RAM Director at Tessera.
Scott Smith’s presentation will touch on topics of great interest to the AMP community of professionals around the world. Asset management is a complex science involving many aspects, approaches, and resources, ranging from data to how to inspire work groups.
4. AMP Ecuador Chapter: “Inventory Management in the Asset Lifecycle,” by Luis Tilleria, Maintenance Chief at Compañía SLB.
The value of inventory can represent more than 30% of a company’s assets, which is why its efficient management is so important in industrial asset management. Inventory involves, among other things, the operational continuity of assets throughout their lifecycle, with relevance to costs and equipment availability. Tilleria will discuss these aspects, addressing topics of great importance such as spare parts obsolescence, inventory classification according to criticality, the impact of supply, and inventory strategies aligned with the ISO 55000 standard.
5. AMP Canada Chapter: “Beyond the Silos – Asset Insights for Digital Transformation,” by Marcia O’Connor, President and Founder of AM FM Consulting Inc.
Marcia O’Connor has extensive experience in asset management and is one of the most prominent women in her field. In a 10-minute presentation, Marcia will address one of the most important topics in industrial asset management in recent times: the implementation of digital tools, how to leverage them and achieve continuous improvement, how to align asset management principles with digital transformation to ensure operational success, the importance of digital technology in connecting capital planning, maintenance strategy, and operational performance into a unified vision, and other points of interest. “We will also explore real-world applications that have led to improved uptime, profitability, and asset resilience,” said the author about the seminar.
6. AMP Argentina Chapter: “Pi – The Power of Performance: Leveraging Pi to Achieve Award-Winning Reliability,” by Javier Mascheroni, Reliability and Maintenance Executive Manager – Downstream Operations at Pan American Energy.
In his participation in this Summit, Mascheroni will discuss aspects of the Operations Integrity System (SIO) that was developed at the Campana Refinery (Axion Energy, Pan American Energy), in line with this organization’s Sustainable Operations and Quality Policy. This reliability process incorporates Leading and Lagging Performance Indicators, and its efficiency as a system earned it the 2024 Uptime Award for Best Global Program. These processes of the SIO program are fully aligned with the Uptime Elements™ framework and form the operational backbone of the Strategic Asset Management Plan (SAMP). It will undoubtedly be a highly interesting presentation for attendees.
