The resounding success of the WIRAM Global Summit 2025 is an example of the power of words and the value of shared learning. Hundreds of asset management professionals from around the world gathered at this summit on October 9, organized by Women in Reliability and Asset Management (WIRAM), which, under the umbrella of the Association of Asset Management Professionals (AMP), elevates and showcases the professional contributions of women to the industry.
The meeting, hosted by Maura Abad, WIRAM Global Director, and Terrence O’Hanlon, Executive Director of AMP, was recorded in a video that you can access so you don’t miss any detail. It is part of the effort we make at AMP to spread knowledge about asset management, the culture of reliability, and the committed professionals who make this possible.
“These meetings are very significant. The conversations we create here represent opportunities for thousands of professionals around the world, for people to see things in a way they haven’t seen before,” said O’Hanlon at the start of the summit.
Maura Abad congratulated the participants for responding so enthusiastically to this invitation and taking advantage of the opportunity to share and grow professionally, also thanking the WIRAM Advocates for their support: Accenture, Interlock Solutions, Prometheus Group, Ultimo & IFS Company. The presentations were given by directors and members of the WIRAM Chapters of Africa, the UK, Canada, and Europe, with extensive participation from the leaders of WIRAM USA, LATAM & Antarctica, and other parts of the world.

Maroua Ouerghemmi: “Breaking barriers: Succeeding as a first-time Female Manager.” The Director of the WIRAM Europe Chapter shared a powerful testimony of the challenges women face in rising to leadership positions, with valuable advice on how to overcome these difficulties and achieve success.
Marcia O’Connor, AMP Canada Chapter Leader, & Margaret Trautwein, co-director of WIRAM Canada: “Facing the future across generations.” Are you Generation X, Z, Millennial, Baby Boomer, or Silent Generation? With the right leadership, every generation has a lot to contribute.
Christina Peter, WIRAM UK representative: “A young person’s journey into the evolving world of reliability and asset management.” Peter shares a sensitive approach to the journey of a young woman with a desire to learn and serve, who found meaning and purpose in asset management.
