The former WIRAM UK and WIRAM Europe chapters are now merging to create a chapter that spans a larger geographic area, multiplying the reach and impact of Women in Reliability and Asset Management (WIRAM) for the benefit of professional women in the industry.
Women in Reliability and Asset Management announces the creation of its new Europe-UK WIRAM Chapter, formed from the merger of the WIRAM UK and WIRAM Europe chapters. This initiative aims to expand the geographic range of the organization’s influence, drawing more women from more countries and organizations to become part of WIRAM, a space dedicated to elevating and highlighting the role of professional women in asset management, reliability, industrial maintenance, and facility management. The announcement was made by Maura Abad, Founder and Global Director of WIRAM, and the launch of the new chapter will take place by the end of 2026.
Women in Reliability and Asset Management (WIRAM) has spent more than ten years creating safe spaces for discussion and analysis for women within the industry, building strong networks for exchanging information and knowledge, and the ability to share approaches and contributions that strengthen the industry while advancing the careers of the women involved in these initiatives and dynamics.
By nature, WIRAM welcomes and includes everyone who wants to work toward improving the industry and opening new horizons of thought, pursuing ever-higher goals, and creating new and better ways to integrate emerging technologies, digitalization, artificial intelligence, and expand existing strategic frameworks. Technology, industry, and markets are constantly evolving, and this is exactly where strategically united and organized groups of professionals can make a difference and open new paths for development.
WIRAM has a dedicated group of professionals who make this work possible, and under the umbrella of the Association of Asset Management Professionals (AMP), it runs a full annual agenda of activities (forums, webinars, and virtual conferences) in which more and more women take part to enrich shared knowledge and showcase new, powerful approaches and solutions to the industry’s challenges and operating environments. This new chapter expands those spaces and reach, offering greater visibility opportunities to a larger number of women across Europe and the United Kingdom.
