This initiative aims to expand the organization's reach and continue creating more spaces for professional women's growth within the asset management industry.
Women in Reliability and Asset Management (WIRAM) will open a new WIRAM Chapter in the Asia-Pacific region, unifying Asia, Australia, and New Zealand into a single chapter as a way to expand the former WIRAM Australia–New Zealand chapter. This decision extends WIRAM’s reach, bringing more women the opportunity to take part in spaces for professional and personal growth, with a meaningful impact on their advancement and recognition within the industry. The new chapter will become operational by the end of 2026, according to an announcement from Maura Abad, Founder and Global Director of WIRAM.
For now, the positions of Director, Co-Director, PR-Marketing, and Treasurer for the new WIRAM Asia-Pacific Chapter are in the selection process. Women in Reliability and Asset Management is the organization that works to elevate and highlight the role and contributions of professional women in asset management, creating spaces for personal and professional development, knowledge-sharing, and expanding the professional networks of thousands of women around the world.
WIRAM is made up of global chapters, through which webinars, virtual conferences, and summits are developed to showcase and recognize the ideas and approaches of women in the industry, driving excellent operational and financial results for the organizations they belong to. WIRAM carries out this work with the support of the Association of Asset Management Professionals (AMP).
